Every day Quiz the Map sets four short geography puzzles. Everyone in the world gets the same puzzles on the same day, so you can compare results with friends, a class or a family group chat. Each one takes two to five minutes. When you finish, press Share to copy your result without giving away the answer.
Mystery Country
A country's outline appears. Type a guess and you are told how far away it is, which direction to look and how close you are as a percentage. Every wrong guess also uncovers a clue: the area, the population, the languages, the region and the first letter of the capital. Get it within six guesses. If you solve it, there is a bonus question: pick the right flag.
Tip: start with a big, central country. The distance and the direction arrow from a guess like Kazakhstan, Brazil or Egypt narrow the search much faster than a small country at the edge of a continent.
Border Hop
You get a start country and an end country. Name the countries in between so that you can travel from one to the other over land borders only. The countries can be named in any order. Green means it is on the shortest route, orange is a small detour, red is off the route. Three hints are available if you get stuck: the next country's outline, all the outlines, and the first letters.
Tip: think about the big "corridor" countries first – the route from Spain to Poland almost always runs through France and Germany.
Country Grid
A 3 × 3 grid with a continent on each row and a rule on each column – for example "borders four or more countries", "is an island" or "has more than 50 million people". Find one country for every box. Each country can only be used once, and you have a limited number of guesses.
Tip: fill the hardest box first. A box like "Oceania + landlocked" may have no answer at all, so leave it empty rather than waste a guess.
Odd One Out
Five quick rounds. Each round shows four countries; three share something and one doesn't. It might be the continent, a colour in the flag, the hemisphere, the number of neighbours or a word in the name. Answer fast for a speed bonus.
Streaks and practice
