Quiz the Map

Host a live geography quiz

Like a Kahoot for maps: create a game, show the PIN, and your students join on their phones. Everyone gets the same questions at the same moment and the scoreboard on this screen updates live. Free, no accounts.

Questions are drawn at random from the map you pick. Everyone gets the same ones in the same order.

How it works

1. Create a gamePick a map and a quiz type, press Create. You get a six-digit PIN.
2. Students joinThey open quizthemap.com/join on any phone, tablet or computer, type the PIN and a first name. No accounts, no e-mails.
3. Press StartEveryone sees a countdown, then the same questions in the same order. This screen shows live progress and a final podium.

Scores count a first-try answer as 100%, a second try as 50% and a third try as 25%, so guessing wildly does not pay. Ties are broken by time. Results are not saved anywhere after the game; the room disappears after a few hours.

Prefer a class leaderboard that lasts all term? Create a class code instead – it works with every quiz on the site. Want paper? There are printable blank maps too.
